The Complete Farkle Guide
Share
Farkle is a fast-paced dice game that's part luck, part strategy, and just a little bit of friendly chaos. The goal is simple: be the first player to reach 10,000 points.
What You'll Need
-
6 dice
-
A score sheet
-
At least 2 players
How a Turn Works
-
Roll all 6 dice.
-
Set aside any dice that score points.
-
Add those points to your running turn total.
-
Decide:
-
Keep rolling the remaining dice to try for more points, or
-
Bank your points and end your turn.
The Catch: Farkles
If you roll and none of the dice score, you've "Farkled!"
When that happens:
-
Your turn immediately ends.
-
You lose all points earned during that turn.
-
The next player takes their turn.
Hot Dice
If all 6 dice score during your turn, you get Hot Dice!
-
Set all 6 dice aside.
-
Roll all 6 dice again and keep building your turn total.

Getting on the Board
Many groups require a player to score at least 500 points in a single turn before they can start banking points. Once you're on the board, any banked score counts.
Winning
When a player reaches 10,000 points, every other player gets one final turn. The player with the highest score at the end wins.
A Little Strategy
Farkle is really a game of knowing when to quit. Roll again and you might score big. Roll again and you might lose everything. The person saying, "Just one more roll..." is usually either about to become a legend or a cautionary tale.
Perfect for coffee, conversation, and discovering which of your friends are surprisingly reckless.
